Gifts of Securities

Transfer securities electronically through your broker.

Real Estate or Personal Property

A gift of a personal residence, vacation home, farm, commercial building, or undeveloped parcel fully paid off and appreciated in value constitutes a real estate gift. If the property has appreciated in value, you deduct the fair market value, avoid any tax on the capital gain, receive a charitable deduction equal to 100 percent of the property's fair market value, and reduce your taxable estate by the value of the donation.

Life Insurance

Gifts of life insurance policies, existing and new, may designate NCIRE as the beneficiary or irrevocably assign ownership of the policy. If ownership is assigned, there is an immediate tax deduction.
