While working as a Berkeley Police Officer, Christopher Loverro joined the Army Reserves in 2001 and volunteered for a deployment to Iraq in 2003. He served on a Civil Affairs team in support of the Army's First Stryker Brigade Combat Team (3-2) in Mosul, Iraq.
Among various other missions he conducted humanitarian relief operations for 2,000 refugees.
NCIRE is proud and privileged to work with all of our Veteran partners, but we are especially grateful to Chris. Besides taking time to collaborate and create this video, he has been a steady and reliable presence for years. As an advisor and friend, he has helped researchers and clinicians as they develop new ways to understand service-related stress and create treatments for the wounds of war. His support to his fellow Veterans has been unwavering.
We urge those interested in films about Veterans to view Chris' work, available on the web on his Vimeo site. Chris also has a page at IMDb, and we encourage everyone signed through to Facebook to 'like' his page.
We thank Chris for his partnership, his art, his candor and his service.
