As we reflect on NCIRE’s The Brain at War conference over the past eight years, we are humbled and honored by the quality of the speakers and presenters who shared their knowledge and dedication to finding practical, compassionate solutions to the neurological consequences of combat. We are grateful to the many participants who make attending this conference a priority and share their experiences and commitment with us.
Recent organizational changes at NCIRE – The Veterans Health Research Institute provide the opportunity for us to take a fresh approach to this signature event, and we are mindful that we need sufficient time to maintain the integrity, spirit, and success of The Brain at War. Therefore, we have decided to postpone the conference for 2016 and direct our efforts toward 2017.
Those of you who have attended and participated have valuable insights on what we can do to improve The Brain at War, and we are asking you to please share your feedback with us. We hope you will be an integral part of this planning process, and that you will join us next year. Please contact Karen Steeber – Karen Steeber@ncire.org – with your comments and suggestions.
